Dear Friends,

For those who have not heard all the details yet about the destruction of the Federman-Tor houses and farm in Kiryat Arba, we urge you to watch the following Youtube video in which Elisheva Federman gives a detailed account, in English, of what happened.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-eboT9yPVSo&eurl=http://www.hebron.com/english/

Our campaign to gather clothes and basics for the Federman and Tor families was a great success. Tens of Efrat and Gush Etzion residents together with tens of Women in Green members from Jerusalem managed to fill
a huge truck. We thank all of the volunteers who helped, packed, shlepped, drove, donated money, etc. Obviously whatever we managed to gather in one day is still a drop in the sea and the public is asked to continue to help. What is mainly needed now is money to help them rebuild their homes on the exact place where they were destroyed. See below for details as to how to donate.

Our Women in Green photographer Gemma Blech took some beautiful pictures of the truck campaign:
http://picasaweb.google.com/gemmablech/WIGToTheDestroyedFedermanFarm #

Arutz 7 made a short Youtube clip about it too:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=87WA4AGV6bQ

It is very important now to continue and show our support, not only to the Federman-Tor families but to all pioneering Jews living on the hilltops.

Here are the details as to how to help followed by a few thoughts as to why this persecution is taking place.

With Love of Israel,

The harsher they beat us, the stronger we will get!
by Nadia Matar

The destruction of the Federman-Tor farm is not the first nor the last destruction this government is planning. DM Ehud Barak already announced yesterday that he will increase the persecution of national Jews by giving them mandatory expulsion orders.

Until the upcoming elections, the Olmert-Livni-Barak government has a "carte blanche" to persecute the national camp. They think it is in their political interest. The harsher the measures against the settlers, the more votes they think they will get from the Left and the Arabs in Israel.

The leftists in power basically are planning to work on two levels:

1) To delegitimize the settlers. Why? simple: The Left wants to create a PLO State in Judea and Samaria. In order to do so it must destroy and get rid of the entire settlement enterprise. The problem is that all polls show that the majority of the Jewish People in Israel oppose the creation of such a PLO state. The majority of the people in Israel understand that if the withdrawal from Gaza brought Kassams upon Sderot and Ashkelon, then a withdrawal from Judea and Samaria and the creation of a PLO state in its stead will bring kassams on Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Natanya and Hadera. The people of Israel thus understand that the settlement enterprise is what protects the entire Gush Dan area.

In order to change that situation and make the majority of the people despise the settlers, and make them agree to dismantle the settlement enterprise, the government must delegitimize them, spreading the word as if the settlers are dangerous lunatics who endanger the rule of law and must be crushed. It happened in the days of the Rabin-Peres regime when agent provocateurs working for the GSS like Avishai Raviv were told to do acts in the name of the settlers and thus blemish our good name.

This delegitimization campaign has started again with the so-called attack on Prof Sternhall, blaming "settlers" for it; continuing with distorted and false reports on settlers "attacking" "poor innocent" Arabs who want to pick olives when the truth is always the opposite. See for instance the case of the Arab who burned a house in Yitzhar and then stabbed a nine year old Jewish boy. The media did not relate to the Arab attack but rather to the healthy and normal reaction by the Jews who marched down to the Arab village and smashed a few windows. Be prepared for more stories that will make the headlines with the purpose to delegitimize us.

2) Secondly, parallel to the campaign to delegitimize the settlers, the government wants to crush those healthy minded Jews who are not scared of the authorities. Who are those Jews? Those Jews who live outside the fences in Judea and Samaria. Unfortunately, most communities in Judea and Samaria are surrounded by fences. As we already learned in the Bible, fences are a sign of weakness and fear. Those fences were forced upon the settlers by the security forces who told them the fences are needed "for our own protection". But that is not true. The real reason the fences were brought in was that they help the authorities to control the settlers. The settlers can live and walk only where the security forces and the authorities decided we can be. If we want to go somewhere else, we must do so with special permits.

This dangerous frame of mind has been crushed by all those hundreds of healthy Jews who decided, over the past few years and especially after Gush Katif, to settle the hills OUTSIDE the fences, outside the "ghettos" planned by the authorities and to march all over Judea and Samaria without asking for permits. Settling outside the fences is a clear sign of defiance and a message saying: the entire Land of Israel belongs to the People of Israel. Nobody will tell us where we can and cannot walk, live or build. We will walk everywhere. We will build everywhere. This spirit of Jewish pride and freedom is what scares the authorities most. With such spirits the left will never be able to destroy the settlement enterprise! And that is why the authorities are persecuting those Jews by banning them from their homes with administrative expulsion orders and by destroying their homes in a vicious barbaric anti-semitic way. Obviously, this will not help. The harsher the persecution, the stronger the Jews will get, please G-d.

Now is the time for all friends of Israel to rally around those loyal to the Land of Israel and strengthen them. Please G-d, we will succeed and in the upcoming elections the majority of the People of Israel will give expulsion orders from power to all members of the corrupt, criminal and anti-semitic Olmert-Livni-Barak government.

Dear Friends,

Dudu Elharar was fired from the Galei Tsahal (IDF) radio station last week.

Dudu Elharar, known poet and singer is also a famous radio broadcaster. For the past years, every Friday afternoon, Dudu Elharar has had a one hour radio show on the Galei Tsahal radio station. His one hour radio show was a breath of fresh air to all. Unlike the extreme left pro-Arab, anti-Jewish shows broadcasted all week long on the Israeli State media, Elharar’s one hour was filled with Yiddishkeit, Zionism, patriotism and a pure love for the Land of Israel, the People of Israel and Torat Israel.

Dudu was not scared to express his right wing views and did not mince words when it came to attack the suicidal defeatist policies of the government. It was Women in Green’s honor to invite him for the past two years at our march around the Old City Walls on the evening of Tisha B’Av where he moved us all when he read out loud poems about Jerusalem

Obviously his radio show was having too much of a success. The Bolshevik leftist elite could not handle even one hour a week of such Jewish national oriented talk. He was fired.

We cannot stay silent. The Galei Tsahal radio station that was meant to represent the voice of the soldiers, has turned, like Kol Yisrael, into the station of the extreme left.

Friends of Dudu Elharar have organized a demonstration (with police permit) in front of Galei Tsahal this coming THURSDAY, OCTOBER 23 at 12:00 noon. Where? In Jaffo (next to Tel Aviv) Yehuda Hayamit street.

Women in Green call upon all to join the demonstration and show our support to our friend Dudu Elharar. A group of artists will perform at the demonstration.

A bus will leave from Jerusalem Binyanei Hauma (by reservation only, fee 30 nis). Please reserve your seats by calling Yitzhak Cohen 077-7006290 or 054-7212238.

For more details about the demonstration and the location please call Shlomo Shlush 054-8082100.

Great Success in Shdema!

Over 500 people arrived yesterday, Thursday of Chol Hamoed Sukkot, from all over Israel, to celebrate the holiday in Shdema.

Reminder: Shdema is an abandoned army camp, 5 km from Har Choma, overlooking the Jerusalem-Gush Etzion road. The camp was abandoned 2 years ago. The committee for a Jewish Shdema has been fighting for the past months to keep it in Jewish hands.

Yesterday’s event started with a moving raising of the Israeli flag over the water tower, proudly declaring to all: the Land of Israel belongs to the People of Israel. Shdema will please G-d stay in Jewish hands forever.

Afterwards there were short speeches by MK Dudu Rotem (MK Arieh Eldad apologized for not being able to come), Rabbi Yaron Durani from El David – Nokdim, Shaul Goldstein, mayor of Gush Etzion. Among the many participants there were different public figures like Zvi Katzover, mayor of Kiryat Arba, Ezra Yachin, famous Lehi fighter, Rabbi Shalom Klein from Har Choma, Rabbi Shlomo Kimchi , Rosh Yeshiva Orot Yehuda in Efrat, Maj-General Rabbi Yoel Nachson, former Military Chaplain of the Central Command. Rabbi Nachson used to serve in Shdema many years ago. He was shocked to see how the military camp had been destroyed and was wondering out loud where the beautiful synagogue that used to be part of Shdema, had disappeared. Like all other participants, Rabbi Nachson was horrified at the thought of abandoning Shdema to the Arab enemy and strengthened the activists in their struggle.

The hundreds of participants enjoyed the lecture by famous tour guide Arieh Rottenberg, the art exhibition by painter Binyamin Kletzel of Jerusalem and artist mrs Fried of Nokdim. Gush Katif expellees now living in Yad Binyamin came to identify with the struggle for a Jewish Shdema and were selling their arts and crafts. The tens of children who came with their parents jumped on the inflatables and played. After the speeches the public enjoyed a concert by the Tekoa band led by Dev-Dev Brill. It was moving to once again hear loud Jewish music in Shdema.

This time the Israeli security forces acted as they should and protected the event. They prevented anarchists and Arabs from coming near Shdema and even arrested 5 anarchists who tried to disturb the celebration.

No doubt, the event was thank G-d a huge success. The Committee for a Jewish Shdema wants to thank all those who helped, contributed, volunteered to the success of the event. To all the youth, the inflatables crew, the loudspeaker system crew, the Tekoa band, the Gush Etzion local Council, the drivers of all the vans, the sadranim, the "shleppers" of all the equipment, the Women in Green activists, the donors who donated understanding that the struggle for the Land of Israel costs money, tachles thank you to the tens of activists without whom this would not have been possible. The list of names is too long so we will just give a general thank you to all.
