All other members and activists will go to NETZER, between Alon Shvut and Elazar, under the framework of our expansion of the struggle for Erets Israel.

Our next event in SHDEMA will please G-d be next Friday, February 26th, on the eve of Purim. Details will be posted in a few days.

About Netzer:
Lately Arabs and international activists of JAI (Joint Advocacy Initiative) have started coming to the hills between Alon Shvut and Elazar and take over land through plantings.

Here is a link to pictures of JAI activists and Arabs who came a few days ago (on February 13th, 2010) and work the lands. The yishuv you see in the background of the pictures is Efrat- the Arabs and the international activists are across Efrat, between Alon Shvut and Elazar.

Dear Friends,

Purim represents the holiday in which the Jewish People was victorious in their struggle against Haman and his evil decrees.

Even though Haman had already declared the decree of annihilating the Jewish People, Mordechai and Esther, like real activists, did not accept that decree and acted to overturn it. That is the message Mordechai and Esther teach us: it is up to each and one of us to behave like a proud Jew, adhering to our belief in the justness of our cause. When enemies wish to harm us, Israel will not fear nor kneel or bow to the haters of Israel but rather, will act and, if necessary, fight.

>From then to the present, the Jews have been forced to act against the
descendants of Haman, who was from the seed of Amalek.

The distinguished Rabbi Yaakov Moshe Charlap, of blessed memory, explained in his article “Arousing the Hatred of Amalek”, that in order to understand the meaning and importance of the commandment to “remember what Amalek did to you on your journey after you left Egypt”
(Deuteronomy 25:17), we must examine Amalek’s intentions.

The rabbi explains, based on various midrashim, that Amalek led Israel to be doubtful, hesitant and questioning the very fact of the involvement by G-d in the life of the people, until the children of Israel actually questioned: “Is the L-ord present among us or not?”
(Exodus 17:7).Amalek understood that only when the children of Israel would lack faith, their enemies could defeat them in battle. Thank G-d Amalek’s plan did not work out, Israel fought bravely, was victorious and returned to complete faith in G-d.

If, during the wilderness, Amalek introduced doubts and hesitation about the G-d of Israel, in our time, Amalek’s seed (Ahmedinajad, Hamas, Fatah, Jihad, etc.) go even further. Not only do they want to annihilate Israel and the Jewish people physically but they try to erase our identity by trying to implant in the Jewish People doubts and hesitation concerning our very existence as a People, and our right to all of the Land of Israel.

The latest hypocritical outcry of the Arabs against the fact that the Tomb of Machpela and Rachel’s Tomb have been included in the list of Jewish holy sites is only one example of this war by the Arabs against us.

This is the time to be like Mordechai and Esther, not to bow down to our enemies but rather declare loud and clear: The entire Land of Israel belongs to the People of Israel. It was given to us by G-d as an everlasting inheritance and nobody has the right to give it away or take it away from us. Not only should the Tomb of Machpela in Hebron and Rachel’s Tomb in Bethlehem be included in the list of our holy sites but also Joseph’s Tomb in Shchem, and the tombs of Ruth and Yishays’, Otniel ben Knaz, Avner Ben Ner in Hevron , … and of course the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. In addition, Jews should continue to build and expand and settle all over our Biblical Homeland.

Women in Green continue now, more than ever, the struggle for the Land of Israel. Below, please find the description of our activity in Shdema and Netzer.

Over the past two weeks we have sent out a mailing by snail mail, which include our latest must see short movie about the Yibaneh fund for building and development in the hills of Judea founded by Women in Green. If you are not on our snail mailing list, please email us your exact name and address and we will send you the material. Thank you for being partners in the struggle for the land of Israel,

May it be His will that the verse “there was gladness and joy among the Jews, a feast and a holiday” will be fulfilled for all of us.

With love for Israel, Happy Purim!

Expanding Activity for Eretz Israel from Shdema - to Save the Lands of Netzer

Last Friday several dozen activists went up the Netzer hill, between Alon Shvut and Elazar, and heard a lecture by the veteran guide Aryeh Klein of Hebron on “The Grape Vine.” The lecture was followed by a tour in a safari vehicle of the areas under and opposite the Zayit neighborhood in Efrat. Thanks to the tour, there was a Jewish presence in areas where Jews had not set foot for many years.

The archaeological finds there prove that this entire area was inhabited by Jews in both the First and Second Temple periods. The terraces, coins, cisterns, wine presses, ritual baths - all tell what we knew all along: this land is ours!

Unfortunately, the Arabs, aided by European organizations, are taking control of considerable plots of no-man’s land in our area. The strong hand wielded against the Jews, the freeze, the fence - all these broadcast to the Arabs: establish facts on the ground, and the land of the Jews will be yours!

We must struggle for every foot of land. The planting by the international organizations is presumably done as a “humanitarian step,” out of concern for the so-called “poor” Arab peasant, but, actually, a struggle is being waged for the Land of Israel.

The Committee for Jewish Shdema, together with Women in Green, the Yibaneh Fund, and the Action Committees in Judea, have extended our activity to include Netzer. Since the IDF is building an outpost at Shdema, most of the activity can be transferred to Netzer, with a watchful eye on Shdema.

Tomorrow, Friday, on the eve of Purim, we will go up to Shdema to distribute mishloah manot to the soldiers and to hear a shiur by Rabbi Yaron Durani, the rabbi of Nokdim and Shdema, with wonderful music by Eli Gilboa of Kiryat Arba-Hebron.

Come in costume and with musical instruments!

* The activity will be held, regardless of weather conditions.

Bus transportation: from Kiryat Arba-Hebron at 8:15 a.m., Gush Etzion junction (Tzomet ha-Gush) 8:30 a.m., Efrat southern junction 8:35 a.m.

Exciting Friday in NETZER 0

Netzer

And your people, all of them righteous, shall possess the land for all time, they are the shoot (netzer) that I planted, My handiwork in which I glory (Isaiah 60:21)

In the center of Gush Etzion - between Alon Shvut and Elazar, among the olive, fig, and pomegranate groves, state lands wait for us to work them before they are lost.

The Arabs - with the aid and financing of foreign governments such as the Netherlands - planted and work the agricultural plots in this area. Now, only about 25 dunams (about 6 acres) remain at the hilltop.

So that in the near future we will not see more illegal construction and land takeovers like those of the Beduin in the Negev, we must continue planting in Netzer and increase our Jewish presence at Netzer by organizing walks and rides in the area.

This coming Friday, February 19, we will meet at Netzer at 9:00 a.m.

Bells of Redemption in Jerusalem 0

Rosh Hodesh Adar 5770
February 14, 2010

The Bells of Redemption Are Revealed in Jerusalem
Yehudit Katsover and Nadia Matar

Yesterday, Sunday, Rosh Hodesh Adar, Women in Green (Women for Israel’s Tomorrow) conducted a tour throughout Jerusalem - to see, to gin an impression, and to strengthen, hands on, the so devoted activity by the redeemers of Jerusalem.

The tour began in Abu Tor, in a house in which six Jewish families live. From the roof of their house we looked out at the Temple Mount, Beit Yehonatan, the King’s Gardens, the infamous separation wall, and the building in Abu Dis that was supposed to become the Arab parliament but thank G-d, did not come to pass. We received explanations from Daniel Luria, the director of Ateret Cohanim, that were both learned and extremely moving.

From there we drove to Beit Yehonatan, located in “Kfar Hateimanim” (the Yemenite village also known as Silwan). It was very emotional. To go back in time 140 years. when the first Yemenite Jews arrived in Silwan and settled, initially in caves and afterwards in houses. They prayed in four synagogues. During the Arab riots they were expelled, and today Jews are returning and redeeming the area, despite all the legal and political difficulties. Beit Yehonatan is named in honor of Jonathan Pollard. We were told that Jonathan has asked that everyone visiting the house take the time to pray and learn Torah, so one of the yeshiva men who learn in Beit Yehonatan gave our group a twenty minute shiur (lesson).

Then, the King’s Gardens: we await the serious removal of all the illegal Arab construction, so they will once more be gardens befitting the royal city.

The “Maaleh ha-Zetim” neighborhood, that was constructed against all odds, strengthens our hope and security. The Jews are returning and taking control of the city. This is the case in Kidmat Zion too, for which a magnificent neighborhood is planned, that will afford a panoramic view of Jerusalem, from the other side, to the Temple Mount.

From there we went to Beit Orot, the first neighborhood to be established following the Six Day War, that is being developed now, and from there we passed next to the Shepherd Hotel,a large building that used to belong to Haj-Ammin Al Husseini, the mufti of Jerusalem, collaborator with the nazis and responsible for the murder of thousands of Jews. The knowledge that the house where once this enemy of the Jewish people lived now returned to Jewish hands was very comforting. From there we drove to the Shimon ha-Tzaddik compound.

The excitement was great, simply tremendous.

In Shimon Hatzaddik (also known as Sheikh Jarrah), the Arabs, who benefit from Israeli democracy and the support of the left, are insolent, curse, and shout, but a group like ours isn’t deterred.

After an enlightening explanation by Yehonatan Yosef, the grandson of Rabbi Ovadiah Yosef, telling us the story of how the Arabs had squatted in houses belonging to Jews after the Jews had been expelled from the area in 1948,and how it was only historical justice to finally redeem these Jewish houses from the Arab thiefs and return them to their rightful owners, the entire group began singing a tremendous “Am Yisrael Hai” - the Jewish People Lives! in front of the amazed Arabs. Here, there are Jews who are not scared nor impressed by their shouts.

The charged encounter at the Shimon ha-Tzaddik compound undoubtedly left a tremendous impression on all the tour participants.

We were all accompanied by a sense of involvement. Much has been done, but there is a long way to go. The general feeling was that the reality is changing thank G-d. The Jews, with God’s help, are returning, taking control, and drawing nearer to the very heart of holiness.

Jerusalem is being re-acquired and is returning to its true sons. We were moved to tears at the sight of the devotion, the faith, and the activity.

Thank you to our devoted photographers Gemma Blech and Abigail Browning for taking pictures and eternalizing our activities

Thank you to our dear and loyal Renee Margolis and Elisheva Ginzburg who helped organize the tour by making so many phonecalls.
Thank you to Sharon Katz, editor of Voices magazine who came along with us and surely will write a wonderful article about this special day on her new website; http://www.voices-magazine.com/
Thank you to all participants of the tour, to each and one of you, who took a day out of your busy schedule to be a partner in the struggle for Jerusalem, the struggle for Erets Israel. We all came to strengthen but, as usual, came back strengthened.

Lastly, thank you and yashar koach to our wonderful tour guide Daniel Luria from Ateret Cohanim who made this tour so incredibly meaningful.
We strongly recommend others to organize a similar tour and ask Daniel to be your guide. His cellphone number is 054-654-4407

Join the next tour of Women in Green, on Wednesday, Rosh Hodesh Nissan, March 17. The route will be: Negohot-Amatziah-Yad Binyamin. In Negohot we will give our support to the Ben-David family, whose home has already been destroyed twice, and rebuilt a third time, with aid including that of the Yibaneh Fund founded by Women in Green. From there, to Amatziah, to meet our expelled brothers and the new construction, and to Yad Binyamin, to support the expellees by making purchases in their shopping center.

Hazak, hazak, ve-nithazek - Let us be strong and resolute!

Refusal of order 0

Ashamed- by Nadia Matar
Shavua tov

i just want to say that this entire kenes titled “Refusal of orders - where will it lead us”
is a big mistake and harms the struggle for Eretz Israel greatly.

I am not talking about the fact that it is completely lopsided (5 mamlachti extremists against one loyalist of Erets Israel-
reminds you of Popolitika where they always had one token rightwinger among a sea of leftists just to be “yoitze zein”)
but I am talking about the very fact that Efrat bichlal has this kind of kenes.

As if the national camp bichlal has a problem of “sarvanut” (refusal of orders)…
There is no sarvanut in the national camp. All our boys serve in the army. None of our boys refuse to carry out orders related to fighting the enemy. The left has a problem with sarvanut - with many of them not going to the army or some extreme leftists even refusing to attack Arabs when they need to. THAT is sarvanut.

In contrast, when our soldiers refuse to carry out the order of pinui yishuvim - the problem is not with our boys who show loyalty to Erets Israel but the problem is with the illegal, immoral and anti-Jewish order of uprooting yishuvim.
The politician who gave the order of uprooting yishuvim and the officer who demands from his soldiers to carry out the order - THEY are the problem. THEY are betraying Zionism. THEY are betraying Erets Israel. THEY are betraying the army’s ethical code that says that a soldier in the IDF will fight the enemy and protect his people, and not the opposite.

This kenes that Efrat is organizing is mamash falling into the trap of the Leftists.Or maybe, on second thought, it is a kenes to try and please the leftists….. once again! And I ask: what is going on here????

Last month Efrat held a kenes, inviting the pakid in the minhal in charge of the “freeze” to lecture on “building possibilities” during the freeze.
Less than 15 people showed up, but that is beside the point. There was really no need for such a kenes. The moetsa could have written down all the instructions of the minhal as to how one is allowed to maybe close a porch, and publish it in the Efraton. But it was a PR move to tell the authorities: unlike the other yishuvim where they dont allow pakachim in, we are nice. We collaborate with the authorities. Please like us. We are not the Shomron G-d forbid. We are m-o-d-e-r-a-t-e-s.

Now we have a kenes coming up with mamlachti extremists who all (except Feiglin) believe that soldiers have to be blind and deaf robots, and that orders are “above all”, and must be obeyed no matter what.

And I ask - What is going on here?

In one word, the message coming from Efrat’s moetsa (who is behind the 2 evenings ) to the authorities is:
Please love us, we are goodie-goodies-we are moderates- please include us in your upcoming plans- please let us be in the settlement blocs -
and don’t worry…when you will uproot Tekoa, and Nokdim and Ofra and Bet-el…we the leaders of Efrat will make sure our boys carry out the holy orders.

I am so ashamed that Efrat is behind this kenes; I have no words.I am happy to see others have also expressed their outrage at this lecture and have asked to cancel it.

I guess time has come to organize a kenes titled;
“What did we do wrong in our mamlachti-dati education, that a religious person can even think of obeying the illegal, immoral and anti-Jewish order of uprooting Jews, destroying yishuvim and thus betraying Zionism and Judaism?”

with great sorrow
